WIRRAL FROM NEW YORK. MAUNGANTJI TO SAIL. The tonnage in port has been considerably increased by recent arrivals. Yesterday afternoon the Matakana arrived from Liverpool, followed this morning by the Wirral from New York. This evening the Baron Fairlie will arrive from Antwerp to discharge basic slag, and the Mamari from Gisborne for homeward loading. Last night the Wairuna sailed for Wellington and the Hinemoa for Cook Islands. Also for Cook Islands, the Waipahi is to be dispatched late tonight. The Kairanga arrived at Lvttelton at 10.30 a.m. yesterday, and is expected to leave there to-morrow afternoon for Auckland, via New Plymouth. The Waikouaiti loads at Lyttelton about Wednesday next for Auckland direct. The Waiiaea berthed at Gisborne at S a.m. to-day, and was to leave again at 10 a.m. for Napier. The Kaiwarra is at present loading at Westport for Auckland, via Picton and Wellington. The Wingatui is to sail at 3 p.m. to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamar'u and Timaru. The Kamoiaa sails at 10 p.m. to-day for Greymouth. The Kartigi loads at Westport to-morrow for New Plymouth and Auckland. THE NAURU CHIEF. Due at Auckland to-morrow afternoon, the steamer Nauru Chief has been allotted a berth at the King's wharf to discharge her cargo of phosphate from Ocean Island. (Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., agents). WAVERLEY TO BE SUNK. The old coastal steamer Waverley is being dismantled at Wellington, prior to being towed oat and sunk in Cook Strait. She has been running for many years between Wellington and Patea. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels are cxpected to be within range of the Auckland wireless station to-night: —Tutanekai, Nauru Chief, Kaikorai, Niagara, Sussex. Kaitangata, Otokia, Tofua, Baron Fairlie, Tasmania, Hinemoa. HURUNUI TO SAIL. To complete discharge and 'load for London and West of England ports the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s steamer Hurunui is to sail at daybreak to-morrow for Dunedin, Bluff, Timaru, New Plymouth. Wanganui and Wellington. She is to sail finally from the latter port on June 5. WAIRUNA SAILED. In continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports, the Union Co. steamer Wairuna sailed yesterday afternoon for Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. Thence she is to return to Vancouver and San Francisco to take the July-August loading for Auckland, New Plymouth and other New Zealand ontports. MAUI POMARE REPORTED. ' Speddlng, Ltd., received advice yesterday that the Government's new motor ship Maui Pomare was 240 miles from the Marquesas at noon on May 4, and expected to ar: ive at Apia on May 12. At Apia she is to land a number of lighters before resuming her voyage, to Wellington, where 1 she is due about the end 0X next week or early the following week.

The tug Akaroa arrived this morning from Ponui Island, and is to sail to-night for Whangaroa. Having completed her overhaul, the Union Co.'s tanker Otokia undocked early this afternoon and sailed direct for California to load bulk oil for Wellington. Taking passengers, mails, and cargo for Sydney, the Union Co.'s steamer Maunganui is to sail at 3 p.m. to-morrow. She is at the Queen's wharf. The Government steamer Hinemoa sailed last night for Rarotonga to pick up lepers for Makogai. On her return voyage she will call at Suva for bunkers, and is due here on June 10. Bringing general cargo from Liverpool for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, the Federal steamer Norfolk is reported to have cleared Panama last Wednesday. She is due here on May 24. To load the lirst of the new season's fruit for Auckland, the Union Co.'s steamer Waipahi is to sail at 8 p.m. to-day for Rarotonga, Mangaia, and Ailutaki. • En route from Vancouver to Auckland and Sydney, the Union Co.'s R.M.m.s. Aorangi is reported to have arrived at Honolulu on Wednesday. She is due here 011 May 20. With general produce from Auckland, the Federal steamer Middlesex is reported to have arrived at London, via New York and Halifax, on Wednesday last. She left here on March 23. With passengers, mails and cargo from New Zealand, the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s steamer Rotorua js reported to have arrived at -Southampton last Wednesday morning. She sailed from Wellington 011 April 4. To the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Co. the Baron Fairlie is due at Auckland at 7 p.m. to-day, with a full cargo of basic slag from Antwerp. She is to berth to-morrow morning at the King's wharf. A further radio from the Union Co.'s steamer Kaikorai states that she expects to arrive at Auckland from Newcastle at 11 a.m. to-morrow. She is to berth at the Western wharf, and after discharge there will lie up for survey. From New York via Suva, the steamer Wirral arrived at Auckland this afternoon and berthed at the Queen's wharf to discharge tiie local portion of her genr;;! cargo. From Auckland she is to go to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. (New Zealand Shipping Co., agents). For cleaning, painting and minor repairs, the steamer Kintyre is to go into dock at 3 p.m. to-day. It is hoped to dispatch her to-morrow night for Westport to bunker before going to Nauru and Ocean Islands to load phosphate for Australian and NewZealand ports. Avonmouth, Glasgow- and Liverpool, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mamari is expected to arrive from Gisborne at 9 o'clock to-night. She is to berth to-morrow morning at the Prince's wharf, and it is hoped to dispatch her for London on Monday night. L. D. Nathan and Co. are the local agents. Cabled advice from Brisbane states „that the Union Co.'s chartered steamer Sussex en route from Calcutta to Auckland, arrived there at 9 a.m. yesterday. She was expected to resume her voyage at 8 p.m. yesterday and is due at Auckland early next week. Her other ports of discharge are Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Wellington office of the New Zealand Shipping Co. advise that the Hororata is expected to leave there at daybreak on Saturday for Auckland, where she is to commence Homeward loading. Her other loading ports are Napier, Lyttelton and Wellington, whence she is to be dispatched finally for London on May 31. Burns. I'll iI p and Co. lia received advice that the motor ship Fernlane left Balboa 011 April 20 and is due to arrive at Auckland on May 15 with a full cargo of case oil from Texas. After discharging the Auckland portion of her cargo she will go to Napier. Wellington and New Plymouth and Australian ports. To commence loading for Avonmouth. Glasgow and Liverpool, the Federal steamer Tasmania is due at New Plymouth from Australia on Saturday next. According to her amended schedule she is to *go from New Plymouth to Opua and thence to Auckland. being due here on May 19. Her other loading ports are Napier. Lvttelton and Wellington, whence she is to sail finally on June 2. From London, via Wellington, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tamaroa is expected to reach Auckland on Saturdav, berthing at the Prince's wharf. After discharge she will commence Homeward loading here, completins at Dunedin, Lvttelton and Wellington. She is to sail finally for London from the latter port on June 9. (A. S.
