GLAD TO BE BACK.
EDUCATION BOARD MEMBER.
" Speaking in a general way, New Zealand is good enough for me," was the remark of Mr. E. C. Banks, a member of the Auckland Education Board, to sa^ representative of the " Star " on returning this morning by the Marama froßjt, Sydney. Mr. Banks was accompanied by his son. " To my mind," said Mr. Banks, " the quality of the cattle at the Royal Agricultural Show was not ahead of that to be seen in New Zealand. They do not appear to have many Friesians over there, but in Victoria I visited a fine herd at the farm of Mr. A. O. Sy.mes, one of the principals of the " Age" newspaper. The best cattle in that herd were those which Mr. Symes purchased at Mr. Hunt's sale in Invercargill recently."
Mr. Banks returned to-day to his home in Matamata.
