A further stage in the Samoan trouble was reached to-day, when the petition of the natives, in which allegations are m*de against the lfte Administrator (Major-General Sir George Richardson), was deposited with the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, to be forwarded for consideration by the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations at Geneva. i The petition is signed by 7892 natives.
