CROSSING FATALITY.
ENGINE NILU PEDESTRIAN.
ACCIDENT AT NEW LYNN.
Another level. crossing accident occurred last evening, when Mr. George Kelly, aged 00, was killed instantaneously by the engine of a train approaching the New Lynn station from Auckland. The crossing whei-e the accident occurred is at Totara Avenue, close to the New Lynn station on the. Auckland side. Mr. Kelly, who was crossing the lines on his way to the township, was struck by the engine and was thrown on to the cattle-stop at the side of the line. Hie neck wa* broken by the impact.
Mr. Kelly wan • widower with a grown-up family, and lived alone in eeabrook Avenue, New Lynn. '
