QITY OF j) AT , A pri l 25 1028, THIRTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LANDING OF THE NEW ZEALAND FORCES ON GALLIPOLI PENINSULA. COMMEMORATIVE SERVICE, AT 11 A.M., TOWN HALL. A Service, commemorative of the New Zealanders who fell in the Great War, will be held on WEDNESDAY, 25TH APRIL, 1928, at the TOWN HALL, AUCKLAND, at 11 a.m. The Service will be conducted by: HIS WORSHIP THE MAYOR OF AUCKLAND. presiding. REV. EVAN R. HARRIES. REV. ANGUB MACDONALD, 0.8. E., former Chaplain of the Forces. REV. G. T. ROBSON, M.C., R.N.„ former Chaplain of the Forces. Doors will be open at 10.15 a.m. for admission of next-of-kin who, upon application, may obtain admission tickets to the gallery from the Secretary, Returned Soldiers' Association, Soldiers' Club, Customs Street East. Seats will be reserved for Ilcket-holders until 10.45 a.m., when the public will be admitted. The Ground Floor .will be reserved for Returned Soldiers and Veterans. A Parade will take place from the Queen's Wharf to the Town Hall, and Returned Soldiers are earnestly requested to take part therein. CENOTAPH, TOWN HALL.—Citizens may deposit floral tributes at the base of the Cenotaph in front of the Town Hall, nnd such tributes will be taken to the Soldiers' Memorial at Wallfumete. After the conclusion of the above Service, the ccremony of depositing the official wreaths at the Cenotaph will take place. Seats, not exceeding 100 in - number, will be placed within the Cenotaph enclosure for the use of elderly Mothers of Fallen Soldiers, tickets for wblch may be obtained from the Secretary of the Returned Soldiers' Association, or the Hon. Secretary, Southern Cross League. WAIKUMETE CEMETERY.—A Service, presided over by his Worship the Mayor, will be held at the Soldiers' Memorial, Wai--1 kumetc Cemetery, at 3 o'clock p.m., when the Rev. Canon Percival E. James will deliver an address. A train, will leave Auckland for Ghn Eden at 2 p.m., returning from that station at 4.40 p.m. SECONDARY SCHOOLS.—A Service will also be held at the Town Hall at 3 p.m. for the Scholars attending tbe various Secondary Schools In Auckland and District. This service will be conducted by Sinclair lteid, Esq., president of the Auckland Returned Soldiers'' Association, presiding; the Rev. G. C. ■ Cruickshank. former Chaplain of the Forces; the Rev. W. The following Roads will be closed on WEDNESDAY. April 25, 1928. between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.: Great South Road, from Alexnnder Street to Nierer Street; .Mangere Road, from Walmsley Road to Great South Road. All traffic proceeding along great South Road from Auckland to the «outh will turn off the Great South' Road at Alexander Street and proceed by Gore Street, Mould Street, Pratt Street n/nd Niger Street Into Great South Road. Traffic from the south to Auckland will turn off the Great South Road at • Niger Street, and proceed via Niger Street, Pratt Street. Mould Street, Gore Street and Alexander Street Into Great South Road. Traffic to 91 angere from Auckland will proceed via Station Road and Walmsley Road. Traffic from Mangere to Auckland will proceed via Walnrsley. Road and Station Road into Great South Road. R. B. TODD, Mayor.
