ACCIDENTS WILL HAPPEN.
MOTORISTS NOT ALONE TO BLAME.
PEDESTRIANS WHO HESITATE.
The complaint is often made that pedestrians in the street take their lives in their hands when they cross, an intersection, blaming, of course, the motorists and motor cyclists. It is, however, the pedestrian who is often at fault. Certain people have the habit of stopping dead in the middle of the street when they sec a motor vehicle bearing towards them. This practice is embarrassing to motorists, who never know what the person in front of them is going to do. People crossing a street should always look first to the right and again to the left to see if there is anything coming. It is far better to wait on the kerb-side than to rush blindly across the street, when, if they are knocked over, it is usually their own t fault.
