SOUTH AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION.
Among the business discussed at. the annual meeting of the South Auckland Football Association, held at Hamilton, was the lack of interest shown by senior elubs in junior football, an application for the reduction of affiliation fees by the Uoldtields Sub-Association, and the lateness in starring matches. These matters were referred to the Management Committee to be dealt with.
It was decided that the newly-formed South Auckland Referees' Association be asked to conduct an examination at an early date.
It was decided to commence the season on Saturday, and that the committee endeavour to arrange the fixtures as far ahead as possible.
Mr. <i. Cox was appointed delegate to the onnnal meeting of the New Zealand Football Association in Wellington on Friday. _ The Referees' Association has also appointed Mr. Cox as delegate to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Referees' Association,' which is to be held the same day. Officers for the coming season were elected as follows :—l'atrou. Dr. 11. Douglas; president, Mr. John McKinnon ; vicepresidents. Messrs. Carr, Campbell, Burlpy. Burt, Crabb, Clark, Shattock, Howden, * iaber and George; management committee, Messrs. Baillie, Baird, Cook, Latimer, M*;fcde, McKinley, and Woodhall; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. Geo Cox • honorary auditor, Mr. W. H. Allen. Senior fixtures for Saturday are :—Wanderers v. Railways, r<>f«>ree. Mr. Baillie; Thistle v. Pukeniiro. Mr. Wallace; Puke Junction v. Huntly, Mr. Bate; Ulen Massey v. Claudelands, Mr. Other.
