TE AROHA, Monday
The North Island tennis championship tournament was concluded on Saturday. The c-hief event was the women's doubles final, in which Misses Knight and Clouston (Auckland) defeated Misses N. and M. Beverley (Matamata), «—4. 6—4. after an exciting contest. Other finals played were the handicap doubles, in which Thomas an«l McCracken (Hamilton) defeated James and Bush (Te Aroha), tt—4, 6—l, and the women's handicap doubles, in which Misses Knight and Clouston (Auckland) defeated Misses N. and M. Beverley (Matamata), 6—l, o—7, 7 5.
