Corinth and many villages in the vicinity were heavily damaged. So far ;>n deaths have been repotted and In,(100 are homeless and destitute.
At Corinth, the majority of the populiioo were warned by tremors during the night and had evacuated their houses before a violent shock, which came 45 mint!ten later. The powerhouse was demolished and the ritv is in darkness.
