ARBITRATION COURT CEREMONY. EMPLOYERS* REPRESENTATIVE^ At the opening of the Arbitration Court session in Auckland to-day, Mr. G. T. Booth, the new representative of the employers, was welcomed by both legal and industrial interests. Mr. 8. E. Wright, secretary of the Employers' Association, expressed a welcome to Mr. Booth, whose appointment, he said, it was hoped would be beneficial to the cause of industry and of industrial peace. Mr. R_ McYeagh voiced the cordial welcome of the Bar. by whose members, he said, it was felt 'that Mr. Booth's services would be instrumental in securing judicial and impartial decisions. Mr. A. Rosser. in the interests of Labour, completed the trinity of welcome. Referring to the industrial conference in Wellington to discuss matters connected with the Arbitration Court, Mr. Rosser expressed the wish that if the system were altered it would still be mandatory and not optional. Oood wishes from the La Hour Department were also expressed to Mr. Booth, who in his reply promised careful and impartial consideration of all questions before the Court. He said his exj>erience of industrial affairs had extended over practically his whole life.
