FIJIAN SENT TO GAOL.
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, this day. A young Fijian, Percy Bentley, recently employed as a farmhand in this district, was convicted this morning on charges of having fraudulently obtained credit and having used obscene language. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment on each charge. The Bench declared that accused was an undesirable immigrant, and asked the police to notify the proper authorities.
