RAINFALL IN MARCH.
(By Telejrraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGARBL this day. Last month's rainfall, which totalled 6.18 inches, fell on 10" days. The average for the month in the past decade is 3.89 inches, the wetteetMarch being in 1020, when 12.26 inches fell, and the driest in 1020, when only .62 inch was recdrded. -
- , £ WAIHI, this day. Mr. Haszard, official weather observer, reports that the rainfall in March in Waihi was 9-29 inches. The maximum fall was 5.44 inches on March 5. Rain fell on >12 days. The total rainfall this year, tip to March 31 * 13.08 inches. Heavy rain on March 4, 5 and «» •mounting to nearly eight inches, brought the total for the month to a little above the average.
