ESTIMATED AT 8,000,000. (Received 9.30 am.) WASHINGTON, April 2. Senator Shipstead, who represents the Farmer-Labour party from Minnesota, estimated that the unemployed throughout the United States was over 8,000,000, on the basis of the Labour Department figures which, he said, showed 32.6 decrease in. employment since 1920.
