INCIDENT AFTER "BETTY" WINS BAN DEM CUP.
Following on "Betty's" third successive :win in the Sanders Cup contest at Stewart Island a well-known visitor, prominent in Auckland yachting: circles, was asked to propose an important toast at the presentation function.
To everybody's astonishment he declined. It was arterwards ascertained that a particularly severe attack or indigestion during the last week had reduced him to a weak, nervous state—-he was really ill.
