LECKIE BEATS HARLEY. A TECHNICAL KNOCK-OUT,
DUNEDIN, Monday. Johnny Leckie, the New Zealand feather-weight boxing champion, scored another win to-night at the Kensington Drill Hall, when he beat Eric Harley, the Australian, on a technical knock-out, in the sixth round. Harley held his own fairly well in the first two rounds, but the New Zealand champion then dominated the position. Harley was down for six seconds in the fourth found and was very weak at the end of the fifth. He took the count for three when lying against the ropes in the sixth round, and the referee immediately stopped the fight. Both men weighed Bst 131b.
