DEVONPORT FERRY COMPANY'S LATEgT DEVELOPMENT. The progress of the Northern suburbs of Auckland has gone on hand in hand with the development of the Dcvonport Steam Ferry Company's services. The season ticket is a great attraction to residents of the Northern suburbs owin~ to the cheap rates offered. The harbour trip is a pleasant reviver after a tiring day in the office or shop.
An excellent limousine bus service runs between Devonport, Takapuna, and Bayswater, every ferry from Auckland being met at Devonport and Bayswater. During Easter many people will take advantage of the round trip, which costs only 1/6 return from Auckland, or 1/ from Devonport.
The Devonport Ferry services run regularly from Auckland to Devonport. Stanley Bay, Takapuna, Milford, Birkenhead, Chelsea, and Northcote, and through tickets are issued for Brown's Bay, Castor Bay, and Murray's Br; . At week-ends and on public holidays the Company runs special excursion boats to Rangitoto, Pine Island, and other favourite resorts on the Waitemata Harbour, and a round trip from Auckland to Devonport, thence by car to Takapuna and Milford, thence by ferry from Northcote, is a delight.
Vehicular ferries run between the city ai.d Devonport, Northcote, and Birkenhead.
