THE W. AND S. WAY. The name of Wickins and Sutcliffe |s a "household word" in Auckland in a very literal sense. Hundreds of homes have been furnished entirely from that firm's Karangahape Road premises, and the customers who have discovered the benefits of dealing with them when making additions to the home equipment must be numbered among the thousands. This, firm, established for 16 years in Karangahape Road, has again opened an up-to-date auction mart in premises adjoining the Bank of New South Wales in Karangahape Road, between the top of Queen Street and Grafton Bridge. Auction sales will be held weekly or daily, as- occasion demands, and will bfc personally conducted *by Mr. A. R. Wickins.. Every cafe attention will be given in dealing with goods sent in for sale. The confidence enjoyed by the firm is reflected in the large amount of furnishings already received for sale. As usual, any of the goods may be bought privately. The auction business Is conducted separately, _and the new Furniture Department is still at the old address, bejlelvern's and the K.K. boot shop. There, as before, is a wide choice of high-grade furniture that can» be purchased on instalments or at low cash nrices. Particularly attractive lines now being handled include some very fine pieces in English oak. As an indication of the reasonable range of prices may be quoted three-piece Chesterfield Suites from £12 15/, rimu dining-room chairs (with tip-out seats) 16/3; similar chairs in oak 22/6, oak wagons 25/, three-piece bak bedroom suites from £19 15/, rimu combination chests £2 10/, and three-drawer cheats £2 10/6. In addition there is a hist of other • attractive furnishings at most reasonable rates.
