(Br Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) ROTORUA, this day. The Higli School Beard left last night, Mr. B. B. Xesbitt presiding. Tlie financial statement, officially approved, showed receipts amounting to £&>4<j and disbursements £3104, leaving* balance of £381. The headmaster suggested that the board apply to the Minister for permission to build a hostel. The report on the result of the pubße examinations of scholars at the school showed the following successes: — Proficiency: nine entered, seven paswd, and two gained competency; junior national scholarship: five entered, on® pained a scholarship, four failed; senior national scholarship: seven entered, seven passed; Public Service entrance three entered, one passed: senior fre® place: 11 awarded on recommendation of inspector; matriculation; 20 entered, 11 passed; high, r leaving certificates: on# entered, or.e awarded; teachers' D certificates: one entered, one gained partitl pass.
