DAIRY PRODUCE. Amalgamated Dairies, Limited* have received the following cable from their London manager, under date March 31:— Butter: Nothing doing except occasional •mall gales. Official quotation: 168/ to 172/; exceptional, 174/. We are holding our prices unchanged in order to support the market pending a renewal of activity. Danish, 192/ to 194/ spot; 186/ f.0.b.; well cleared. Deliveries, New Zealand, 1412 tons, stocks 0660; retails unchanged. Cheese: 98/ to 99/; exceptional, 100/; market slow; retails unchanged. Mr. C. R. Spragg has received the following cable, dated March 31, from his principals, Messrs. Banna tyne and Company, Limited, London:— Butter buyers withholding orders; sales, New Zealand salted, 170/ to 175/; New Zealand white and coloured cheese. 99/ to 100/. 4 FROZEN MEAT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, has received the following cable from its London house, dated March 30:— Frozen Meat: Lamb, B%d per lb; mutton, wether and maiden ewe, light, o%d; heavy, 5%d; ewe, light, 5%d, heavy, sd; market slow. (Received 10.30 a.m.) CHICAGO, April 2. Wheat for delivery in May is quoted at Chicago at $1.42% per bushel. For July delivery the rate is 91.41%, and for September |1.39%.
