A FINE MONTH.
FIGURES FOR MARCH. A steady improvement as the month advanced was a feature of last month's weather, according to the Government observer. . Although the rainfall was 30 points above the average it was confined almost entirely to the first week. 1 Warm light, winds kept the temperaHiur** at a fairly higlr level, the average Maximum for the month being 73 degrees. There were 225 hours 45 minutes' sunshine. On the first of the 'month, which had the longest sunshine, namely, 11 hours 30 minutes, the lowest temperature was recorded, 59 degrees.
