The recent fatal accident in the school iboratory at Pahiatua had an echo rhursday's meeting of the Wellington College Board of Governors, 'when th® luestion of liability for accidents to rnpils was briefly discussed. It stated that the staff would like to know low they stood in the matter; wonK •hey be liable for an accident to one of -heir pupils or would the board as their ■mployers ? The secretary was instructed to look into the matter of insuranw and to ascertain the liability of .staff for accidents in classrooms or (playgrounds.
