BROADCASTING PLAN.
CHURCH OF ENGLAND STATION "IMPRACTICABLE JUST ROW." DECISION IN CANTERBURY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
The "Church News" states that the sub-committee which was set up by the Standing Committee of the Diocese to investigate the proposal to establish a diocesan broadcasting station for religious teaching and services has been studying the question thoroughly, and a tentative application for a wave-length ■ has been made. The Postal Department is not quite ready to allot wave-lengths |for such ventures, but the committee, an the meantime, has come to the conclusion that the erection of a separate i station is for the present impracticable Its recommendation to the Standing , Committee last month was that for the present the best possible use of the (facilities afforded by 3YA be made use \ .
