Donald Gillies and John George Furev were remanded to appear on April I*B on a charge of conspiracy to defraud the National Insurance Company of £!M). by insuring a second-hand motor car and causing it to be destroyed bv fire. Furey was allowed bail, but Gillies was refused at the request of the police.
