GARDEN PARTIES TO WORKERS. ABOUT 10*00 INVITATION'S. i Two garden parties will be given by the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergus son. and Lady Alice Fergusson, at Government House on April 21 and 28, for representatives of all persons employed in the industries of the city. The Mayor of Auckland. Mr. George Baildon. ha* been consulted, and it ha 3 been decided to invite about 1000 men. who will be chosen from the ranks of the employees in the principal industries. The managements of the firms concerned ar<- being asked to assist the personal staff at Government House in making the selection. This afternoon their Excellencies paid I an unofficial visit to the Costlev Home, Epsom.
