HOLIDAY PREPARATIONS
CLOTHING FOR THE WINTER. BUST WEEK ANTICIPATED. Easter means a busy shopping week —like Christmas, although on a slightly smaller scale. Coming, ds it does, at the beginning of the financial year, Easter time is a favourite time for the shopper. Every shop window displays a host of bargains and, imbued with the holiday feeling, the breadwinner and the dutiful housewife alike allow the festive spirit to invade even their pockets. And then there is the approach of winter and the need of warmer clothing. Easter, with the special reductions, is a popular time to make the numerous preparations for the change in season. Easter, too, is a time when King Willow and his summertime attendants are dethroned by the football jersey and sprigged boots, and this alone is a big item in the shopkeeper's calendar.
