UNCOLLECTED NATIVE RATES
NORTHERN CONFERENCE. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") OHAEAWAI, this day. An important conference of Northern v local authorities was held at Ohaeawai, Mr. A. H. Long, chairman of the Mango* County Council, presiding. The business was to determine a fair basis of allocations to counties for uncollected native rates, four years in arrears. This is required by the Native Land Consolidation Commission. It was urged that assistance be given to facilitate a® equitable settlement, and that the coffl" mission be communicated with forthwith.
