KAETIHI. RAETIHI, Friday. The Raetihi Football Clnb has appointed the following officers: Patron. Dr. W. J. Feltham ; president, Mr. J. Winks; vicepresidents, Messrs. Coury, Scarfe, Neary, Drury, Sandford, G. Anderson, L. Flank, W. Thomson, Slattery, Sigley, W. Watson, H. Thompson, X. Ward, senior, Ritchie, T. Punch, Chestnut, J. Laing; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. J. Thomson; auditor, Mr. W. Thomson; committee, Messrs. J. Anderson, J. Plank, A. Dobson; club captain, Mr. B. Alger; coach, Mr. li. Plank; delegates to sub-union, L. Plank and F. 3. Thomson. It has been decided to enter senior, junior, and third grade teams for the competitions. OTOROHANGA. The annual meeting of the Otorohanga Football Club was held on Thursday night, Mr. A. J. McCready in the chair and 20 members present. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £4 16/7 on hand. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. W. H. Clarke: president, Mr. A. J. McCready: vice-presidents, same as la6t year; secretary. Mr. R. Egan; hon. surgeon, Dr. Gilberd: auditor, Mr. J. F. Trapski; committee, Messrs. H. Quinlan, J. H. Saunderson, Theo. Taylor. A. Allen. J. Quin, T. McCready, E. F. Fairbrother, H. J. Harris; delegates to sub-union, Messrs. J. H. Sannderson, T. McCready, and E. F. Fairbrother; vice-president to sub-union, Mr; R. F. Park. It was left to the committee to appoint senior and junior managers. It was decided to affiliate with the Otorohanga sub-union and to nominate one senior and one junior team.

At a meeting of hockey enthusiasts held on Thursday night it was decided to form a men's hockey club, to be known as the Otorohanga Men's Hockey Club. Mr. C. Brown was elected president, together with six vice-presidents; patron, Mr. F. Phillips: committee, Messrs. T. Morgan. L. Sweetman, A. Patterson, C. Cullen and O. Letham; club captain. Mr. L. Morgan: vice-captain, Mr. G. McCready; coach, Mr. IV. Babe; delegates to union, Messrs. L. Swettman, J. Craddock and R. Lee; secretary, Mr. J. Craddock.

At a meeting of the executive of the Sports Club, held on Thursday night, it wai decided to have ten automatic judge? mad* for use in the chopping events at the Easte* sports. It was also decided to invite Mr. L. C. Hardy, the official handieapper. of Auckland, to he present at the sports, which premise to exceed all records this year. OHAKUHE.

On Thursday evening a farewell social was tendered Mr. and Mrs. Moore, who are leaving shortly. The guests of the evening were the recipients of two handsome silver-mounted suit case. . A large number of ladies assembled at tne local croquet green on Thursday afternoon to bid farewell to Mrs. Levick. who is leaving for Wellington. Mrs. Cranston, on half of the members, presented Mrs. Levies with a floating bowl and expressed the general regret felt for her departure. , At the annual meeting of the I T nitea Football Club, the president. Mr. Haley, tendered his resignation owing to pressure of business. It was stated in the report that the 1027 reason had been very successful. The Levin Cup had beeen won for the fourth time and the Challenge Shield for the fifth year. The club's A team had won the local seven-a-side tournament and the B team had been runners-up. The Adsett Shield had also beeu won by the team, defeating Taumarunui at Taumarunni. The junior team had won the .Tones Challenge and the Charity Cup three years in succession. while the thirds had won the Competition Shield. Charity Cup.
