EIGHTEEN YEARS' SERVICE.
MR. W. SCOTT FAREWEIXED. ARBITRATION COURT MEMBER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. W. Scott, who has retired from the position of employers' representative on the Arbitration Court, was farewelled this morning. Eulogistic reference to his services was made by Mr. Justice Frazer, members of the Bar and representatives of Employers' and Employees' organisations.
Mr. Scott, in thanking the speakers for their expressions of goodwill, said that since he had gone on the Court in 1909 he had sat with eight judges. The legal fraternity he had always found willing to help him, the employers had been solidly behind him. and the workers he was proud of. He eulogised his successor, Mr. G. Booth, as the right man for the job.
