HAMILTON WATER CHARGES.
NEW SYSTEM OPPOSED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Fridey. The proposed new method of charging for water by a percentage on the ratable value of property was not approved by the retailers last, night. One business man said the new basis would mean to him the difference between £6 and £37 10/. . . It was decided to ask_ the council to receive a deputation on the matter.
