PRISONER AT LARGE.
WARDER'S CLOTHES STOLEN. WANGANUI, Friday. A prisoner named Cullen made his escape on Wednesday evening from the Woodville sub-prison camp at National Park. Mr. Glynn, officer in charge, and Constable Sherman, of Raurimu, with two warders from the camp, took up the chase as soon as Cullen was missed, and they spent Wednesday night in the dense bush, but without success. Apparently the fugitive made from the camp to the residence there was broken into, and his clothes taken. In their place was found main camp at Erua, as Warder Andrews' the prison garb Cullen was wearing when he escaped. The man is believed to be making south.
