THE SERIES CLOSE. ALL-HOUND INCREASES. (Received 11 a.m.)

' LONDON, March 29. The wool Bales have closed. Of the catalogue of 128,756 bales it is estimated the Home trade took about 63,000 bales, the Continent about 42,000, the United States about 4000, . and . about 20,000 are herd. Merinos were all fully 5 per cent above February closing rates, except superior grades, which were firm at unchanged rates. Finest crossbreds were substantially appreciated.

Most fine halfbreds and comebacks advanced 7Vi to 10, medium 7M, inferior grades 10, scoured* generally 7% to 10, halfbreds showing most appreciation. Slipes met the keenest dmaud at 7V4 to 10 advance. New Zealand's: Kenley Downs 26% d, King's Drive 35d, WFM 34^id.

At Bradford business is quiet, topmakers making small concessions. 54 It's 52d, 42%'s 33d, 27's 25d.

Cheese.—Market quiet. Australian, 96/ to 97/ per cwt; New Zealand, 96/ to 99/ per cwt; Canadian, white 108/ to 112/ per cwt, coloured 104/ to 108/ per cwt.
