DRIVER'S LEG BROKEN.
CAR BACKS OVER BANK. Through being thrown from a motor car in Mount Albert Road early last evening, Mr. John Wood Grimshaw, of 81, Lake Road, Devonport, had his left leg broken. Mr. Grimshaw had parked the car on a slope, but the brakes failed to hold and the car began to run backwards. He jumped on to the running board in an attempt to gain control, but the vehicle backed, over a small bank and threw him to the ground. Mr. Grimshaw was taken to the Auckland Hospital where he was admitted.
