GIRL GUIDES—AN APPRECIATION.
In connection with the recent meeting rf the Thames Old Girls* Association, I should like to express my admiration of the excellent manner in which the celebration was organisedIt was indeed a credit to the women concerned. Especially other old folks and myself were very deeply impressed with the attention paid us by the Girl Guides, who could not have bee® more careful of us had we been their own mothers. At the close these voung girls took those of the old people who appeared to be nervous or feeble to the trams and saw then safely inside. Our girls have come in for * lot of criticism lately, but if these Girl Guides may be taken as typical there is very little wrong with the rising generation. THAMES OLD GIRL-
