SOMETHING FOR NOTHING.
(Sent in by Nellie Morgan, Papatoetoc, ags 15.* She was just a tiny mite, with a smiling, roguish f** that wanted a wa«h, and tangled golden curls tbat want** combing. And she strayed in at the door of a big baza* at a slack time when the ticket man wasn't looking. Ronnd and round she wandered among the well-dresi* folk, turning from stall to stall, looking longingly at beantifully-dressed dollies and teddy bears. At iast one <* the stall-holders said to her: '"Do you want anything dear ?"
"Yes, I wants something," said the little one, looking about her with wide blue eves, "I wants something nothing." "Something for nothing V" repeated tho lady. "You cone over here with me. I know a lady who lias something f* nothing." She took the little tot dver to a penny <lip; and course she was much too excited to sec that a sixpenc* had changed luinds. "You can put your hand in six times and s?t so,n ®* thing for nothing every time," said tho lady. The lit" 8 stranger dipped and dipped. She got a stick of chocolate and a balloon, a tinv doll, a pencil, a cake of s°*®i and a tin whistle. And off site went clutching her prizes. You can think how they laughed at, In.me when thaf heard about the wonderful placc where you could hoJ| something for nothing! Said the little mite's daddy: "I nm.-t go in and something in the bazaar, as they've beeu so good to <*** little one." He went in and he bought several rafite And, wasn't this wonderful? He won a lovely big doll I* a raffle, and took it home for the little mite, for *** second time that day she got "something for nothing,"
