Major C T. Tatum, Mr. T. A. Lucas (Hamilton), and Mr. N. Johnstone (Te Kuiti) are at the Commercial Hotel.
Mr. D. Cooke, who has occupied a senior position in the Bank of New Zealand at Opotiki for many years, has been transferred to a position in Auckland.
A number Of the Justices of the Peace, who have been attending the Auckland Conference were received by Mr. Justice Blair in his chambers at the Supreme Court to-day.
Dr. T. J. HHghes, district medical officer of health at Auckland, who went to India to attend the second medical conference of medical officers of the Pacific group under the League of Nations interchange scheme, will come home from Sydney by the Marama on Tuesday.

Mr. Will Martin, of Epsom, who left this week for Aramaho, near Wanganui, to take charge of the Home Mission station of the Presbyterian Church, was tendered a farewell at the residence of Mr. A. Palmer by the members of the private tennis club of which he has been a leading member and player for ten years. A very full evening comprised dancing, games, and songs and recitations. After supper Mr. Gordon M. Howltt made a presentation to Mr. Martin on behalf of the club, and voiced the regret members of the club felt at Mr.) Martin's departure.
