NOTES FROM ADDINGTON.

YOUNG BLAKE FIT.

PETER FASHION IMPROVING. WESTERN VOYAGE BELOW BEST N.S.W. FORM. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Meb is going along the right way with her training work, but it looks as though she will require some racing before she is bock to her best form. She is remaining quite sound. Thorpie has not done well in races of late. He seems to have plenty of speed, and he is a capital beginner, but he lacks stamina in his races.

Rita Nelson raced very well at the Cheviot meeting, but she has not done much since that time. She is bowling along capitally in her training work. Peter Fashion is trotting very solidly in his training* but he is not likely to make much improvement till next season. He is a very useful young trotter, who looks like making good with age. Routine is now doing a good deal more fast work than formerly, and the grey pacer looks in much better racing condition.

The West Coast Locanda Boy, who won decisively at the last meeting at, Greymouth, is now in D. Bennett's charge, and is being trained at Addington. Locanda Boy is a useful two-miler when at his best.

Logan Park went a good race at New Brighton for more than a mile in the two-mile event on the second day. He is going capitally in his training work.

No Horse at Addfagton look* better than Young Blake. Tomkinson baa the trotter going in fins style, and if he wonld only jump away fa.it he would keep both pacer* and trotters busy In •ay race* * '• Kreialer is showing improvement in his training work. Bo won a sprint race at the last meeting at Greymouth, but hs should be successful over a longer course in the hear future.

Audalie does not Mem to be improving in speed. Ha trots steadily and stays out „ two miles fairly well, but he is deficient in dash in the final part of a race. Ha is in regular work at Addington.

fWjmeny, who now seems to be prt]. ing hard in his work, should have raeed better in his Ik*«k efforts. Judged e* Ids training wott, Jhlmeny bases 'a well-trained appearand* . Western Voyage went a lair race it New Brighton, but the trotter does »tt seem to be an exceptionally good bans on his mark.

lingfield is a good, honest mars, but she does not look as tbotigb she will race as well as her dam Gianella, who was a fine pacer over any distance. Marlindo is remaining fairly sound, anjl he should now bo raced at every opportunity, as he may not last Unr in training.
