PRESENTATION.
On the eve of his departure on holiday to the Old Country, Mr. C. H. Jones— for 41 years associated with Sargood, Son and Ewen, Ltd., Auckland —was tendered a complimentary luncheon at the Grand Hotel by the directors of the company and senior members of the staff.
Messrs. J. F. Ewen and D. A. Ewen referred to Mr. Jones' long and faithful service, and wished him bon voyage and a safe return. As a token of*goodwill from the staff, the parting guest was presented with a suitably-inscribed pipe, and an Onehunga rug. Mr. Jones leaves for England on Monday, and expects to return in December next.
