Glortous weather favoured the Whanpa- ™ High School sports, which were held on splendidly prepared tracks on the new playing fields to-day. There was a large attendance of the public. Harold Bralnsby. the only entrant for the senior championship, was required to reach a certain standard to quallfv for the honour. He started well by winning the 120 yards hurdles and the high Jump. In the latter event he beat W. McCardles former record. There were seven aspirants for the junior championship. During the morning Bowyer established a good lead, winning three events.
