Recordi of the scenes of everyday Bh «»d of occurrences whldi are oat of fhs ordinary are snapped everywhere to-day by the übiquitous camera artist, end professional. Many of ■ have merely their intimate appeal, bnt scores interest the world at large by reason of their beauty or because of a happy of subject. Those fortunate to secure snapshots of this kind are invited to send them in for our weekly photographic competition. > This contest has proved a very popular i feature, hundreds of prints being sent in every week, and it will be continued so long as thst interest is manifested. Competitors are invited to send in any photographs they deem suitable, without j restriction or choicr of subject. Tbey Wvill be judged on their interest and on J the tec hnical quality of the work, with a Iview to reproduction. Sharp outlines •are essential, and black and white prints 'are best. In addition to the prise* ! winning pictures, a limited number of I other®, with more than u. ual merit, will (be published. | The prizes are:— First Prize £i Second Prize ........ lof Third Prize 5/ Post the prints, not negatives, t|> dressed to the "Illustrations Editor," and endorsed "Photographic Competition."
