WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

HERON—SPROUL.

The wedding took place at St. Mat thew's '"'hurch at three o'clock this afternoon of Miss Coral Ethel Lenore Sproul, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Sproul, of Braeburn, Queensway, Mount Roskill, to Mr. William Reginald Heron, eldest son of Mr. T. M. Heron, of London. The Rev. Grant Cowen officiated. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, heralded by the strains of the "Bridal March." She looked radiant in her frock of pale shellpink crepe de chine, trimmed with silver lace, her veil being artistically arranged with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white flowers. Miss Maud Webster, the chief bridesmaid, wore a frock of apricot taffeta and a headdress of tulle and silver to tone. She carried a pretty bouquet of lemon and mauve flowers. Miss Linda Burgess, the other bridesmaid, was in a frock of cyclamen taffeta, also wearing a headdress of tulle and silver, carrying a bouquet to tone. An added attraction were the three little flower

girls, Joy Simon, Marjorie Thomas and Loma Kay, wearing mid-Victorian dresses of lemon, blue and cream taffeta, with posies to tone. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Bruce Sproul, the bride's brother, as best man, and Mr. T. Chappie, of London, as groomsman. After the ceremony a large reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, which was beautifully decorated. The bride's mother wore a very pretty frock of silk wine and fawn marocain, with pleated vest and black I hat to match in which to receive her I guests. Among those present were: Mr. land Mrs. B. Banks, Mr. and Mrs. W. Sproul, sen., Mr. and Mrs. D. Simon Mr. and Mrs. T. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. B. Mills, Mr. and Mrs. O. Young, Mr. and Mrs. C. Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. H. Burgess, Mr. and Mrs. I. Banks and Mr! and Mrs. Leo Manley.
