EXCITEMENT IN LOCAL OFFICE.
Considerable consternation was recently caused in a local solicitor's office, so much so that the whole staff was disorganised for at least ten minutes.
Safes were opened, desks examined, even the office boys miscellany turned upside down—simply because one of the clients had returned saying he must have left his tobacco pouch behind, as he had lost' it.
He was an appreciative smoker of Bears' Tobacco, the popular smoke sold everywhere loose at 8d an ounce; in handy packets, loz 9d, 2os 1/6. Try it yourself.—(Ad.)
