OBITUARY.
MAORI WAS VETERAN.
The second Mmori veteran to die In the Matamata district within the past few weeks was Mr. Crossdell Brinole. Mr. Brindle died on Monday. He migrated to Now Zealand with his parents from England at the age of five years and spent 76 years in Uie Dominion. When seventeen years of age be joined the 3rd Waikato Regiment and saw service with the troops in Waikato, Taranaki and Wanganui. He then took up his residence in the Matamata district and was employed on the Matamata estate for J«tfs before it was cut up for settle--555** ***er he occupied farms at Cambridge and Gordon.
