LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY ECEPTION.

Nearly 3000 people were present on Tuesday in the Town Hall, when tire Auckland Little Theatre Society gave the second of ita annual receptions as a curtain-raiser to ■ the 1928 season. Great trouble had been taken by those in charge to arrange the stage in a becoming manner so that Barrie's play, "The Old Lady Shows Her Medals," which created such a fine impression when presented by the society last year, should have a fitting setting. There were scarcely tiny seats left vacant, and a decided atmosphere of enjoyment prevailed.
