A JUROR'S EXEMPTION.
BEYOND THE AGE LIMIT.
EARLY RISER ALSO EXCUSED.
"Your age is 03, is it not?" said Mr. Justice Reed at the Supreme Court today to a man who had been summoned tor jury service at the criminal sessions and who applied for exemption. The answer being in the affirmative, his Honor pointed out that by reason of his age the applicant was entitled to permanent exemption from jury service. "Tell them to remove your name from the register," said his Honor.-
Another juryman, who asked to be excused from duty, said he had to get up for work at 3.30 each morning. "If that is so," said his Honor, "you won't be much good for jury service. You may go."
