OUR COMPETITION CORNER.
Here is the Painting Competition for which so many requests have been made. These two Indian boys with their baskets of fruit will give you an interesting and agreeable task. Remember to indicate for which section you are entering. In Section A, for those over twelve, the prizes are 7/6, 5/, 4/, 3/ and 2/. The prizes awarded in Section B for those under twelve are 4/, 3/, and two of 2/6. RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS FOR JANUARY 25. Section A.—Nellie Dromgool, 44, Panmure Road, Ellerslie, age 16, comes first. Second prize goes to Loma Vipond, Pupuke Road, Birkenhead, age 14, third to Doris Brown, Regan Street, Stratford, age 14, and fourth to John Johnstone, 64, Grafton Road, Auckland, age 15. Certificates as follow: —BLUE: Elva Wrigley, Douglas Sheath. PINK: E. Joan Thomson, Val. Howearth, Madge Lynes, Frank Molesworth. YELLOW: Joan Wilderspin, Bessie Lynes, Dolina Huey, Mary Cruickshank, Beth Bambury, Jack Kingsford. GREEN: Betty Molesworth, Margaret White, Henry Simms, Wilfred Scholium, Rona Edwards, Mary Hamblin, Aileen Gibsou, Evelyn Mitchell, John Thomson, Kathleen Neely, Ina Macdonald, Jessie Lye. Section B.—Arthur Osborne, Calliope Avenue, Northcote, age 10, takes first place. Joan Coles, 67, Paice Avenue, Mount Albert, age 12, is noxt, Jim Middleton, Buckland, age 7, third, and Yvonne Brown, 15, Essex Road, Mount Eden, age 12, fourth.
