At the inquest this morning into the drowning of a boy who could not swim, hut was using: an inflated motor tube in the corporation baths, both the custodian of the baths and the coroner remarked that the use of inflated tyres and wings was dangerous, as they only encouraged those who could not swim to take risks and get into deep water.
