AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Buyers of Victoria-Xyanza Sugar shares offered 54/6 this morning, but no seller quoted. Colonial Sugar shares were offered at £50, but the buying qtiotation was £54 10'.

Further lines of Bank of New Zealand shares were placcd to-day at 59/, and Commonwealth Bank ordinary shares had business at 27/4Vi. A sale was made ->f South British insurance at 57/6, and of Auckland Gas at 23/3. Coal shares arc in steady demand, and buyers of ordinary Hikurangi offered 3/10 to-day. Renown Colliery shares were wanted at 13/ this morning, but sellers would not come below 15/ for shares paid up to 18/. Ton son Garlick, Ltd., shares had buyers to-day at 10/, but no seller quoted.

The various 4Vfe per cent loans were wanted at £96 17/6 at the noon call. Auckland City 5Vi per cent debentures were offered to-day at £9S. with buyers quoting £96.
