"Apparently the Government * n what it likes, regardless of laws" a member of One Tree Hill Road' Board last evening. The remark arose out of . discussion on a letter from the Commis sioner of Crown Lands, statin" that owing to shortage of funds, the Depart ment would not undertake to clear tie noxious weeds from its property in the district. "Of course, if it was a* prime individual, he would be prosecuted, but you can't do anything with the Goremment," assented the chairman, Mr. R. (j Clark. "The Government will not'prW cute itself."
