FARMER'S BANKRUPTCY.
(By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.)
HAMILTON, Wednesday. A deficiency of £1000 was shown "in the schedule presented by James Donald Burgess, farmer, Raglan, at a meetin" of creditors to-day. Debts totalled £1072, and assets were shown at £70.
Bankrupt said he was 47 years of age and married. He had no children. He had been fanning all his life. Ho attributed his failure to what he described as an exorbitant claim by the Government against him> and to the fall in land values.
The creditors resolved to facilitate his discharge.
