FIGURES FOB DECEMBER.
INCREASE IX CASH RECEIPTS.
A return submitted by the acting traffic manager, Mr. K. C. Holmes, at a meeting of the Auckland Harbour Board this afternoon showed that the imports for December last amounted to 93,128 tons, compared with 99,055 tons for the same period of 1926, a decrease of 5927 tons. Details of imports are as follows: Coastal, beyond province, 28,505 tonsPacific Islands, 9199 tons; Australia' 15,396 tons; United Kingdom, 15,409' tons; Straits Settlements (oil), 5270 tons; Canada, 5710 tons; United States, 13,639 tons. '
During December 1852 passengers arrived and 1535 departed. The cash receipts for the Waitemata H - b " U , r T . Decemb er amounted to £30,681, an increase of £1358, compared IrL % fT S f ° r the corresponding period of last year. The figures for the three months ended December showed th* mCre ?
